Xbox One / PlayStation 4 Pre-orders Break Records

We’re quick to talk about the battle between Xbox and PlayStation, but together they’ve proven that consoles aren’t dead, with an audience pining for the next-gen, at least according to Amazon and the world’s largest retailer can’t be wrong, right?

“The Amazon Video Games store made history with its biggest pre-order week ever” managing to shift 2500 Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles per minute at their peak. This put console pre-orders up 4000% on last year’s E3, hardly surprising considering the differing content on show.

Amazon haven’t let slip which console is in the lead and whilst Microsoft’s Xbox One tops PlayStation in the chart, there are numerous bundles to take into consideration.
