Final Fantasy Type 0 HD coming to PS4 and Xbox One + Demo for FFXV Included
Originally a PlayStation Portable available only in Japan is now getting a high-definition release on Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Originally launched October 27 2011 as part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis series that encompassed Final Fantasy 13 and Versus 13 now known as Final Fantasy 15. It promises to smooth out the controls, visual overhaul with character models significantly improved and the resolution bumped up. As Hajime Tabata was on the helm of Final Fantasy Type 0 it seems quite a good idea to bundle a demo for the upcoming game that he will be directing, Final Fantasy XV. Every copy of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will include a download code for the special demo of Final Fantasy XV called Final Fantasy XV – Episode Duscae. Final Fantasy XV – Episode Duscae will take place near the beginning of Final Fantasy XV so you don’t have to worry ...

Final Fantasy XV Main Party Unveiled

Final Fantasy XV Main Party Unveiled
Square Enix have confirmed the main characters from Final Fantasy XV, along with an English translation of the character biographies that surfaced a couple of days ago. They’ve also re-confirmed several of the key staff positions, Shinji Hashimoto as producer, Tesuya Nomura as the games director and character designer, Hajime Tabata who was recently announced as co-director, Takeshi Nozue as the lead art director and Yoko Shimomura, known for her work with the Kingdom Hearts franchise taking the helm as the games composer. Noctis Lucis Caelum: A childhood affliction endowed Noctis, heir apparent to the throne of Lucis, with the mystical power to see a heavenly light, through which he could sense others’ deaths. Noctis rejects rigid royal conventions and acts as somewhat of a renegade, much to the dismay of those who tend to him. Yet while “Noct” may act brash at times, he does so in defense of those loyal ...

Tons Final Fantasy XV Details Unearthed

Tons Final Fantasy XV Details Unearthed
Whilst Square Enix may have won E3 by revealing Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 back to back, the important thing to note is that the silence was lifted and after years of teasing, we finally heard something, anything about the project! That doesn’t mean there isn’t room for a little more and in an interview with Famitsu, Tetsuya Nomura, Total Visual Director Takeshi Nozue and newly revealed co-director Hajima Tabata shared some insights into the next-gen and XV in general. Final Fantasy XV will make use of Direct X11, developed in a high-end PC environment, making porting to platforms that support these tool sets much easier, hence the games release on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Therefore it’s much more likely that the game would come to PC rather than Wii U. Yet the team has admitted that a PC version is “currently undecided”, since the game would require a ...

Final Fantasy XV Could Have Been A Musical

Final Fantasy XV Could Have Been A Musical
This could be one of the weirdest stories I write all week, Tetsuya Nomura the creative director behind Final Fantasy XV was so inspired by the recent Les Miserables Film that he wanted to turn the fifteenth iteration of the series into the same. During an interview with IGN it was revealed that Nomura doesn’t take his work home with him, admitting that he prefers films to video games, often watching several in a night, his biggest cinematic inspiration is Baz Lurhman, whose portfolio includes the Great Gatsby, Moulin Rouge and the Romeo and Juliet adaption with guns. Ironically after being so moved by Les Miserables, Nomura stormed the Square Enix offices with the desire to take XV in a more musical direction, the idea didn’t go down that well. You might be complaining about Final Fantasy XV being an action game, but consider yourself lucky, it ...

Final Fantasy XV Will Have Multiple Sequels

Final Fantasy XV Will Have Multiple Sequels
Tetsuya Nomura has certainly been busy this week, but that didn’t stop the folks at Famitsu catching up with him to discuss the future of the Final Fantasy series, turns out XV will have a sequel and we’re not just talking Final Fantasy XV. Nomura stated that “In the trailer, there was a line that read “A World of the Versus Epic,” which suggests that it will be part of an epic. While Final Fantasy XV will have one climax, as a story, we plan to continue it further.” Whilst it’s felt like forever since Versus XIII was announced, Nomura has brighter hopes for its sequels quoting that “As for as how it will be released, we’ll announce that later on; however, having you wait a long while for a next title isn’t something we would desire…” Are you impressed with what you’ve seen of XV thus far, do we need a XV-2, ...

E3 2013 – Final Fantasy XV Gameplay Trailer – Looks Absolutely Insane

E3 2013 – Final Fantasy XV Gameplay Trailer – Looks Absolutely Insane
We weren’t too surprised when Square Enix rebranded Final Fantasy Versus XIII to XV, perhaps we were more surprised with the wealth of content that’s been provided for a title that spent 6 years in the dark. So a little backstory: The armed forces of Niflheim launch a devastating assault upon the Kingdom of Lucis, casting Crown Prince Noctis and his comrades out of their homes and into the fray. The engaging tale to follow draws audiences into an awe-inspiring world steeped in the rich storytelling traditions of SQUARE ENIX’s renowned First Production Development team. That’s not all, we also have a gameplay trailer and the action is absolutely intense. It’s a lot more action focused that its predecessors, with you leaping all over the place, there’s a reason that fans were eagerly anticipating Versus and I can finally see why.
